Trusting Your Intuition: A Beginner's Guide

12 April 2026By Andie Hudson

How to recognise the quiet voice of your intuition, separate it from fear, and start trusting the messages that guide you every day.

Intuition rarely shouts. It whispers — a soft knowing in the body before the mind has caught up. Most of us are taught to override that signal, to wait for proof. But the more we honour those small nudges, the louder and clearer they become.

Start simple. Notice the first answer that arrives before you reason it away. Place a hand on your chest and ask: does this feel expansive, or does it contract me? Expansive is usually a yes. Contraction is information too — not always a no, but a request to slow down.

Journaling each evening for one week is a powerful practice. Write down every moment you sensed something and what later proved true. You are training your awareness to recognise its own accuracy.

Intuition is not a special gift reserved for psychics. It is a birthright. It is the language your soul uses to keep you aligned.
